Gene O+ Facial

Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I know I started mine off right by visiting Nuage Spa in the beautiful Ladera Ranch California. I am a bit of a facial newbie so I was super excited to try the new Gene O+ 3- in- 1 super facial. This new technology exfoliates, oxygenates and infuses skin to improve skin tone and texture.

Before I go into my facial let me tell you about how cute the spa was. I walked into a super cute boho vibe. Healing crystals all around and Kombucha on tap! Back behind closed doors is a desert chic waiting area for clients to relax and take a load off. Dimmed lights, tea and relaxing music. I was taken back to the bathroom where I was given a locker, robe and slippers. It’s all in the details! Even the bathroom had healing crystals in the sink! When I came back out I was led to the infrared sauna to relax, open my pores and clear my mind. The smell of eucalyptus was just right. Next I was taken to my room to disrobe and get into some super comfy sheets before my facial.

My adorable Esthetician, Shannon, came in and described each step and how it worked. You see this facial comes in multiple steps which I’ll describe in detail. First, to make sure my skin was extra clean, Shannon gently washed and massaged my face under a nice steam lamp. after cleaning away any excess moisturizer or makeup, Shannon shined a bright light on my face in order to see the spots that need the most work.

Step 1: Exfoliate. This capsugen tablet exfoliates the upper skin layer, removing dead skin along the way. It does not suction at the face, tug, pull, or tear. It feels like a very fine sand paper. After going over certain areas multiple time, it did sting slightly but was not unbearable. This process only took a couple minutes. (Pollogen)

Step 2: The most luxurious infrared face massage. A red light was applied gingerly to my face in circular motions helping to detoxify my impurities.

Step 3: Oxygenate. CO2 bubbles are gently pushed through the skin sending oxygen rich blood to the area. The process increases capillary flow and skin metabolism. (Pollogen) This was also very relaxing and gentle on my face. No discomfort.

Step 4: Ultrasound. Ultrasound waves dive below the skins surface through vibration to increase permeability of non penetrable skin. In other words, this step helps product to sink into the face instead of sitting on the top surface. This was the most relaxing part. It felt like the most gentle face massage.

Shannon cleansed my face one more time, and applied luxurious gentle product to get me through the rest of the day. While waiting for my products to settle in, I was given an amazing shoulder massage to alleviate any knots. The whole process was about an hour. There was absolutely no down time. I did have some redness from the exfoliation but the rest of my skin was absolutely glowing. And it will continue to glow for the next couple weeks. This facial is gentle enough to do on a weekly basis but at $200+ I’d save it for a special occasion.
