Hey All! Hope you’re having a great week so far! As a teacher I only have 13 days left!!! I can’t believe how fast the year is going!!!! With that being said the dreaded wedding season is upon us!!! dun dun dunnnnnnn. I have been seeing a lot of Instagram stories with people scrambling to find a decent outfit to wear to a wedding. The problem is, I keep seeing people posting WHITE dresses as a guest! I don’t know if the times have changed or I am just old fashioned but I don’t think it’s appropriate to wear white to a wedding; even if it’s a floral print. So I am here to give some more appropriate outfit choices for a summer time wedding.
Floral is very on trend this season and I have a ton of ideas for you to rock at your next wedding function.
The first is this sweet blue mini dress from Shoptiques and is only $42. Perfect for the summer heat. Then we have a light pink midi dress from Nasty Gal for $46. This is great for an outdoor or country style wedding. Then we have my personal favorite, red dress also from Nasty Gal and is $48!! That’s a steal and a show stopper but I would definitely save it for an evening wedding. This next floral is perfect for a tropical destination wedding. It’s a little on the sexy side but perfect for vacations. Shien for $17! If you’re into a darker look, this Nasty Gal Floral for $50 is right for you.
Flowers aren’t your thing? No problem. I got you girl!
How gorgeous is this first maroon dress from Express for $50. I would totally wear this to an elegant evening wedding and dance the night away! I really love this blush polka dot mini from Nordstroms $45, for a cute casual wedding where you can cut up a rug on the dance floor! I threw this next one in to be a little more conservative but still sweet. This pink dress is from one of my favorite designers, Leith and is only $42! Leith dresses are always comfortable and well made. This 70’s style dress gives you an awesome retro vibe and is so on trend. Nasty Gal $50 and has such fun details for a hot day event. Last but not least, I tossed in one lace dress because some weddings have a dress code and tend to be on the semi formal side. I can’t believe this Revolve dress is only $49 when it looks so upscale!
I really hope you guys get some ideas from these looks and stay away from the white if you are not the bride!!! Let me know what you think in the comments! Do you think it’s OK to wear white to a wedding as a guest?

Ah, these dresses are BEAUTIFUL. And agreed, the bride wears red for her wedding in our culture, and if someone rocked up in red lehenga, I would straight up kick them out.
